Sorry. NO this is FALSE. Illinois has once again sent it to the Governor's desk and whoever that is now is reviewing it. They have 60 days to approve or deny it. If neither are done it goes to the state senate for a vote. I just asked this question at our safety meeting last week and that is what i was told.

Shoot I ran through illinois probably atleast 12 to 14 times a month, I always ran it at 65 and never once had a bear look twice at me. Once I was cruising 294 passing a couple cars and had a trooper pass me and he didnt even look at me. I think though if you start pushing it any higher than that then you might get nabbed. But I always started to back down a couple going into slowhio, (guess they will lose that nickname now) I would usually only run 62 through there, unless I got passed by atleast 2 trucks going 65 or faster then id run 64, 65 ish.

I just came out of ohio sunday and didnt see one single 65mph speed sign for trucks, only 55. I was on I 70eb and I 75nb. watched a trk pass me doing 62 and get pulled over and given a ticket. as for illinois, they are rasing it. the new gov has already said he will sign it and its to go in affect this month sometime.

The change takes place July 1. I will find out Sunday running 35 from Charleston WVA to Dayton then 75 to 33 to 127 to 30. Should be interesting.

Ties in with them considering all new construction for tolls pretty well.

It's definitely 65 now. All the 55 signs I saw were covered running through Cincinnati.

I've lived right on the border of Indiana/ Ohio my whole life and have never heard one time of a driver getting a "warning" ticket in a big truck or evena 4 wheeler for that matter. Ohio doesn't write "warning" tickets that I am aware of if they pull you over for speeding you will get a ticket.

my best friend got a ticket in ohio for 4 over, then a few mths later got one for 3 over. he actually got a lawyer and fought them and got them dropped, but it cost him a good penny to that lawyer, but was worth it vs losing job and not hirable. yes, pls do let us all know now that its july if those 55 signs in ohio are covered up now.

Yes they do write Warning Tickets in OHIO!
Not well known for it,but it does happen.
In my personal experience its been the way I handle "myself" and the lack of BS I attempt to slide by the LEO.

Acquiring the proper electronics tends to minimize LEO interaction
