| Ask to see his load pay and mileage for the past 6 months, then do the math. I am a second seat in a lease operator truck. However I am a company driver, how this works is, my company pays me so much a mile as well as the lease operator, but the lease operator pays me more than my company. All paid mileage to me, is taken out of his pay and placed into my account along with my company paid mileage, by my company. I also get paid for both of our mileage that we put on. So if the trip is 2200 miles, I am paid for that 2200 miles. I also get medical, dental and vision, because I am company. Now if your not a company driver and your on a leased truck, you won't have any benefits, unless you purchase this yourself. Your like a sub contractor to a sub contractor, that contracts to a company. If he doesn't 1099 you, then your his employee and if the new bill gets passed (Health reform bill) he'll have to pick up medical insurance on you, which he probably isn't paying to much attention to, so this will bite him in the rear and he won't like this. Now, does anybody disagree with me on the last part?????? |

| . It's hard to say whether it would be a good deal or not. Typically, I would say go for it with any other company in good economic times. Those are some excellent numbers. But the question remains, xx% of what ? Is he getting good loads? Is he being paid percentage, or by the mile? Will you be allowed to SEE the actual billing of the load? You may well have to accept .20 or less a mile (averaged), if you're not careful. Many a driver has made excellent money on percentage in the past. But I would be skeptical about pulling on percentage at this time. Revisit him and ask if you take mileage pay can you go to percentage at a later date, and vice versa.

| Thanks fellow drivers,He has said that I will see what he is being paid per load,so that I know what I am making off that load.He also said that I can pick my loads,that part is up to me.From what I understand he says that even though he is leased onto crst malone that I can find my own loads.He is just leasing onto crst malone for the first time,He only owns one truck and he drove it until about a month ago he was diaognosed with having diabetes and can no longer drive,as far as medical goes he does offer it along with all the long term,short term disability ins. |

| And I forgot to add he said that the truck can easily gross 6,500.00 to 7,000.00 a week.He also stated that the fuel surcharge is figured into that gross.My next question is does that sound like a pretty good figure,I can run hard if I have to,To obtain this figure will I have to run pretty hard,I have worked for percentahge before but it was always a percent of the load. |

| Well you need to know what the truck is grossing without the FSC cause I assume he will be paying fuel if he's paying you 30% therefore the FSC won't be included in the figure your being paid a percentage of. |
