I am about to go to work. I will take a pic of the slump sticker and post it when I get home.

Almost all of our trucks have a slightly different reading on the meter. On my truck 1,100 is a 4 inch, 1,000 is about a 5 inch, 900 is about a 6. This is on a oshkosh truck now the advance and phoenix mixers have a different style meter and I don't remember what they are on them. Best bet is the ask one of the other drivers or your batch man what the slump readings are or have them look at a load and tell you what the slump is close to so you have an idea. Another thing is one contractors idea of a slump will be different from other contractors. We have one guy who's 5 inch slump is actually about a 6.5 inch slump and another who's 6 is a 5...... Confused yet?

At least you have a front discharge mixer. When I tried my hand in it (wasn't for me) about 12 years ago, I ran a rear discharge. With yours, at least you pull in to where you're pouring. It's probably 1000 times better than having to back up to a pour, especially at a busy site.

I drove otr and went into a mixer truck and had thought your need a tanker endorsement. But it really masters on the state. I'm in the West Virginia tri-state Ohio and Kentucky tri-state and I run in ask the states

I like my rear discharge. Front discharge drivers control their chutes from in the cab, making them responsible for **** ups. I sit in my a/c cab and let the finishers take that headache.
