| Re: Saw a real Swift move form a Swift driver.. lol You think that was good, I saw one pull out of a stop one time and got hung up in the ditch, the funny part was his steer tires were on the road and the trailer was in the parking lot...His drives were just hanging there about a foot and a half from the bottom of the ditch...Yup you guessed it, he stayed that way for a couple hours untill the wrecker showed... |

| Re: Saw a real Swift move form a Swift driver.. lol Saw swift at the Cheyenne Flying J in the middle of an awful ice storm. Whipped in the parking lot, all trucks there are parked on the east side of the lot no one is remoteley close to the west side. Why you ask? About 4-5 inches of solid ice on the west side of lot. What do you think happened, yep you guessed it swift scooted up onto the ice started spinning his tires and then did the most stupid thing I have ever seen. On an slight incline on ice pops his breaks tractor and trailor, he proceeded to slide into one of the most beatiful Peterbilts you would ever want to see. Way to go Swift, making the rest of us look like Genuises |

| Duckie, with Swift, those stories are just the tip of the iceberg Duckie, hang out here a while. Those stories you're reading about Swift are just the tip of the iceberg. I once saw a Swift driver in 1996 sitting on an overpass blocking traffic in Las Vegas. He had just pulled out of the Pilot and was heading for I-15 southbound when his pup trailer came unlatched and it dropped. He tore off the airlines and the landing-gear pads dug down into the pavement. The box's nose was pointing down in a way that was symbolic--the trailer mirrored the company in its downward trend.

| Re: Saw a real Swift move form a Swift driver.. lol OK heres one. Now I dont know about yall, but typically I know my trailers height. Last year I saw a Swift driver stop his rig right in front of an overpass, granted it was fairly low, but 3 other rigs went under it just fine right before him. So in any case, this guy holds up morning traiffic, gets out of his rig and climbs up on the hood to try and measure how much clearance he had. He had us all held up for about a good 5 minutes. Needless to say the CB wasn't very quite and all the car horns and air horns together sounded like the winds section from the symphany....lol

| Re: Saw a real Swift move form a Swift driver.. lol Here is my favorite Swift experience: 3 years ago at the Wilco/Hess in Connelly(?), NC on I-40. To get out of that place you have to squeeze by the last fuel pump away from the building, which is really no problem, as long as you remember you have a trailer on the back. Swifty didn't remember, got hung up on the pump, trailer sticking several feet in the air, Emergency Response Vehicles all around him.....we just got the hell out of there, before anything else happened. |

| Re: Saw a real Swift move form a Swift driver.. lol I had to back in a Swift truck that was bringing in a grocery load to the Wal-Mart I work at because the driver just could not get it into the dock. And it's an easy dock with no other trucks in it. She had her choice of 4 dock doors. She saw us waiting (almost 20 minutes from when we knew she got there), set the brake and asked if "Any of us wanted to back it in?" Since I was the only one with experience, everyone pointed at me. It took me 2 pullups to put it into the dock. It had been 4 years since I had backed a trailer into a spot and it came back pretty quick, lol.
