Yeah, hubbys only about 600 miles south east, he says its nice there too.

I only threw in enough to take the chill off, but I'm darn glad I've got it.

Sounds like maybe they are up in the Guffey area?

That Big Horn Sheep Canyon along the Arkansas River on US 50 is one of my all time favorite spots. I came very close to buying that little motel/cafe/RV park in Howard a few years ago. Sort of sorry I didn't, but it needed a heck of a lot of work, and with what the economy did...

I love the drive from Canon City to Cotopaxi. The drive along the river is beautiful. There is one spot not too far from Cotopaxi where they have built a nice little overlook on the river and you can watch the White Water Rafters. I always take a book and chair with me when I go out to visit and one day is spent in that little roadside park. I kind of know where you are talking about the motel/cafe/RV park. I haven't been toward Howard in about 5 years.

ya know, sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips, chains, alligator clips, and various other implements there in, excite me.

Hmm, maybe that's why I don't mind snow, ice, and chains.

Winter? Snow??

I can't hear you....nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah!!!!!

Actually, I walked into my bank today and was the only customer. Teller was reading a magazine and I kidded her, saying "Now you have to quit reading and take care of one of these pesky customers".

She was reading a Christmas catalog, and joyfully pointed out that it's "only eight more paychecks 'til Christmas!".

I think it's more like 12...but I'm still changing banks!!
