| I have heard that if you have QC messages stating to "keep rolling", most DOT officials will write the ticket to the company. As always, be sure to CYA, and be safe. |

| Your welcome Dave, and yes I think it is a bad tire. LOL.

| Now that I see the pics, the tire MAY still be legal technically based on the innermost tread depth. But the wear is indicating a serious problem with some component of the front end. |

| Bad toe-out. Tie rod could be bent. How is the other side wearing, more on the inside than outside? The drivers side will always wear first. It's not down to the cord yet. A new tire will start wearing right away. The best thing is to get it to a company shop, or any shop, align truck and put on new tires. If they were routing you to a company shop that would be one thing, but to tell you to keep on driving is another. It will last a while longer, but I think the DOT may want to look a little closer if they saw that. |

| The way I have always been told is you go by the depth of the tread wear it is worn most. So this would be OOS. I could be wrong though.

| Just had the same type of tire problem in PA, Got the big inspection and he said there was steel showing(and my tires didn't look as bad as Dave's) so I was shut down until it was replaced right there in rest area no moving at all. |
