I am a previous driver for ground, and even when I was with them I noticed this..what is up with almost every FedEx truck I see on the interstate whether it be freight or ground..especially freight, that they constantly ride in the left lane?? I personally witnessed several freight drivers the other day about three of them riding together and all three went from the right lane straight to the left and rode there for about ten miles until they got off at their meet points to which they had to get back into the right lane to get off the exit..what gives??

You see a lot of those FedEx vehicles on their side, upside down, jack knifed, rear ended, run into, on top of something, ............... all kind of problems.
I think they might hold those hands to a really tight schedule.

Tight schedule or not..you have no reason to be in the left lane blocking traffic unless your passing someone or for construction. No professionalism at all from these guys.

Does not seem to matter what name is on the truck, no common courtesy on the road.

Your right about that driver. It seems drivers nowadays don't even use turn signals or change lanes smoothly. Always in a hurry...

Noticed on the DOTs safersys.org website FedEx ground drivers get a lot of speeding tickets

Not surprising. When I ran team with them me and my team mate never got in a hurry, ran the speed limit, and always made our scheduled run time. And we were on a dedicated bid run. So I really see no need in all their speeding and wrecklesness.

The left lane was probably a smoother ride than the slow lane.

No both lanes are very smooth, I travel that road everyday. If you got a 64 mph truck you have no business being in the left lane in a 70 Mph zone. These guys do it every day and will cut you off in a heartbeat. Just don't understand it...
