By the way the owner of Chrysler is Cerberus. In Greek mythology Cerberus was a 3-headed dog from he##. Does that explain some of the management at that company who mostly have worked for the government under the present administration?
Chapter 11 bankruptcy does not mean "going out of business". Look at the airlines, they filed, reorganized their business and continue to operate as smaller, more efficient companies.
There is deadweight all through the ranks of the "Big Three", and until they shed some that weight they will never be competitive.
I for one will never buy a new car from an any of these companies. Evah!

You can't file chapter 11 without the money to keep running.

So you plan on buying a car with all the profits to go to Japan, Korea (Kia), France, the United Kingdom, or a Scandanavian country. No wonder America is turning into a non-manufacturing country. Intelligence in its' epitome! Of course, if you buy a Freightliner, Volvo and the like the profits go overseas too.

You must be jealous that you can't make that kind of money.

Why should I? I don't need to file; do you? Apparently so as you know all about it.

Yes...look at Artical 1 sec 8 of our constitution......the powers of Congress were a bit broader than I had realized and have had too great a liberty taken of them by congress....I would have cut/pasted but it is leangthy........

People seem to forget who pulled the cars off the assembly line's to produce tanks and airplanes for this country during war times. Do you think the transplant companies of Honda, Toyota or Kia will do the same if the need arises? Or who contributed vehicles and millions of dollars soon following 9/11. Do you think the transplant companies of Honda, Toyota or Kia steped up to the plate during America's time of need? Go ahead and keep buying your foreign brand names...that's your American right. It's also my American right to buy from companies who support America.

Well GM is no longer owner of Detroit Diesel and Allison transmissions , 2 major power components in military vehicles . Your patriotic manufacturers had no problems selling out to foreign owners . How many jobs have these manufacturers sent to Mexico ?
