Man you guys love to put words in people's mouths. Just think, if y'all spent half the time on load boards as you did here trying to stir the pot you might find that really good paying freight you all complain about never getting.:biggrin_25513:

You will not find one post on here of me complaining that I am not getting good paying freight.

Just remember, there are NO Mercer agents on here trying to recruit drivers and/or push their freight.

    Logan76 Thanks this.

I have no drivers...I recruit no one. As for pushing freight...you can believe what you want. I'm not going to sit here and argue semantics with you. It's a free country and I have just as much right to be here and discuss the topics of our industry as you do...whether I drive or not.

I take no offense in ANYONE's comments at all. That is why my blood pressure is low, my health is good and I have gotten this far in life, I dont let things bother me. I honestly did not see any harm in your comments, and took them more as you poking fun at me for hopping around so much, and I can appreciate sarcasam :biggrin_25522:

That being said, I understand it costs money to hop around (trust me, I REALLY understand)

For those of you who did not know or follow along, I started out on this forum with QC doing a dedicated run. Last year they were cutting my rate by almost $1,000 per run so i left and went to Schneider to their choice program. It was not a good decision and things were so-so. QC called me back and offered me my run at the same original rate PLUS $250 a run to retain me on the gig so i went back. Back in November they lost the account to A&R and I had to find a new job. I went to Pape and got my foot in the door with pulling skateboards and I like it. Their system is more of a consistant based load type and you run regular runs to more of a regional place. Which is perfect if you are not behind the 8 ball as I am with basically having 2 months off w/o pay and a morgtage to pay. So I decided to take the leap to Landstar so i could do some longer haul/higher revenue stuff to get the bills caught back up. Sure aftter I get caught up I may wish I had stuck to a more local thing, but I also enjoy booking my own loads, and going where I want to. In the end, i think I will be happy here as long as I operate as if I was running under my own authority.

    sewerman and samiyota Thank this.

It has actually been quite the opposite in my experience. i have sent him PM's asking about rates and load availability on the LS system. Never once did he contact me about loads. I think that anywhere i can get in good with an agent is a plus. They will rememebr you when those rare $5 mile legal size loads pop up......

Ok, now back to the bickering :3some:

SHC if I wasnt working for American Transport Inc (which operates like LS) I would be working for LS and would be talking to LSagentOZR also. I have aligned myself with a few agents as sometimes in a certain area they have the good loads but I stay with my one agent and only eyeball our loadboard for 95% of it.

    LSAgentOZR Thanks this.
