It often makes me wonder about these types of questions. "I've got orientation Monday with such and such. Can anyone tell me how good this company is?" Why wait until the last minute to find out if you made the right decision? And why should anyone's opinion matter more than someone else? Wouldn't it be better to do all the legwork on a company BEFORE you agree to go to orientation? Maybe that's just me.

 

Nous is a good company. Drove for them a few years ago. Hope you like to tarp because you will on almost every load. No pay issues, easy to get along with. As with all company's, pick up and deliver on time.... They'll love ya!

I was a student grad at Boyd Bros. In march 2010 this is what's up !! 1week class OTR 4weeks w/trainer 1week back in yard 4Load securement ! Boyd got me home 1&1half days during that period. I left after my time was up w/trainer. Did not ! No way want to b back in that terminal 4 one more week. (not that it was all that bad). Answer to your question is they get u home just about every weekend !! (They are a great company !! ) I'm sorry I ever left ! I haven't been in a semi since . Now I can't find a OTR job w/weekends home to save my sorry ### life ! OOO' YEAH only bad thing I have 2 say is their TRKS put you 2 sleep soooooo slow !!

 

Hey drivers, can anyone out there compare boyd bros to Melton? I'm also looking at Sammons for a lease purchase. I'm looking for a response from drivers who have been with one of these companies. I have a big decision to make in a short period of time. Appreciate any advice.

 

What's up flatbeder !! I know Boyd is a good company ! Home most weekends lots of miles , and they also lease. They have the international 94I, 96I , & the prostar. They are really good with the maintance on their tractors. Im not sure about the others ! Hope it was a help !!!
