First off, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM SWIFT and others like them. They are crap, plain and simple. Dont just look at good hometime as you are going over the road and there is no such thing if you want to make money.

I have to disagree with you. All of my drivers are home every weekend. My company drivers will make $55-65K. Contractors will make $175-225K. I think this is both good money and good home time.

I agree with pape, I do pretty good where I work and I'm not out more than a few nights a week, you've gotta get out there and beat on some doors.

Hometime is also defined differently by everyone.... I think "good" hometime is weekends off, you may think 10 days out and 2-3 days off is good. I have not had weekends off in a LONG LONG time, but I am also running OTR to get some bills paid off so i can not work DEC-FEB this next year. I want to leave the cold and snowy days to the other guys while I sit in front of my fireplace and drink coffee, looking outside saying "Poor truck drivers" and then i will go take a nap

I would not go to TANDEM TRANSPORT in MICHIGAN CITY, IN.. they wil put you on eloggs and put you on probation if you do not run when you are out of hours.. They will also hold your paycheck if you have to take off of work... You will alsoonly get about 1400 to 1500 miles a week...
