Alternative to Brooms

I have a broom head and an extendable painters pole I use currently. But, since I have a Conestoga trailer. I need something to clean the tracks and stake rail pockets out with. The broom is useless for that task.

I was thinking of a gas powerde leaf blower, or maybe even battery opperated blower. Or, I guess I could mount air line chucks in a few spots on the trailer, but that's my last choice since it would require rolling up and storing more air lines.

Ideas?

I have used a gas powered leaf blower to clean out vans and reefers. Works great. For airlines, use pre-coiled air line. Easy to use, takes up little room.

Seen a lot of van drivers with blowers in their truck just for that reason. And some of the blowers are pretty powerful too.

Husband was at somewhere at a shipper or receiver and they were using a leaf blower to blow out the trailer, and said it did a good job and a heck of a lot easier and faster, he is planning on getting one of some sort soon.

I don't know what type is the best, they have some which have the rechargeable ion lithium batteries, Black & Decker at Walmart was around $99.00 I think. I think I would stay away from the gas powered type unless you don't have an inverter to charge the batteries; but to each their own.

Just buy one of those air hoses they sell with the tire chock on it. Swap out the chock for a coupler and a air gun.... works off the supply line to the trailer.

Use a leaf blower , also use it in the winter to help blow off the snow on the trucks & trailers.

Got one, but it's the biggest pita ever. I hate dragging it out. I spend more time cleaning crap off of it when im done than I actually do airing tires. Maybe I should mount one of them spring loaded retractable hose reels under the trailer some where?

I think I'll take my Shindaiwa leaf blower along next week, see how it goes.
