Step Deck Tarps
I'm thinking about Trading in my 8ft drops for some 10 ft drop machienery tarps, Kinda like Kaiser has, my 8 ft drops don't reach the deck on a load 10ft tall which is a huge PITA do any other step deck pullers use these?

I have 10's for the whole deck and a 8 footer for the top. I fully boxed mine with d rings so when I turn them I have 6 foot drops.

^ Smart man, hell with that set up you would only need 3 tarps correct? You could use those 6 footers for anything under 6 foot and turn them around for anything above, pretty smart.

Our trailers all have 5 or more....2 16x27, 1 or 2 16x16, and 2 24 x 27....
If i ever buy my own truck and trailer it will have 3 tarps...2 6 foot drops by 25 feet long and one 16x16 steel tarp.
If it needs more than 6 foot drops im not really interested in climbing ontop of it, I hate lumber tarping things now because I'm fat and I dont climb very well and I dont like heights ontop of that. I do end up throwing 8 foot drops all of the time though and I do so without complaint because its not my truck and I do what the owner of the truck I drive tells me to.

fortycal has the right idea. I would also consider some lightweight 10's I saw in Iowa. They were 6' drops with 4' snap-on skirts
If I was ever to buy my own trailer, i would get a sliding tarp system and just be done with it all.
