    Hydraulic beavertail trailer...

Anybody pull one of these trailers... http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsde...?OHID=3667669& ...?? I'm going to be hitchin up to one tomorrow night, just looking for any personality quirks with them. I'll be hauling around rollers, skidsteer loaders, etc.

Been pulling one for the last 7 years.

Always load the nose heavy. With my T800 KW and my 53' Traileze I am 39,000 lbs MT but only 2,000 lbs lighter on the trailer than I am on the drives. Be sure to fully open the trailer when greasing or else points underneath the beavertail will be neglected. Keep the two piano hinges for the beavertail well lubed>I do mine every Monday morning to ensure it is done.

They're great trailers and are easy to operate. Good luck to you.

A good way to get more traction with steel drums on steel ramps is to spread some dry sand on the ramps.
You wont believe the difference it makes.

It will be twin-drum rollers...setting out and picking up for an asphalt paving crew every night.

Carry a broom with you to sweep of the deck so rocks and such don't fall off and break windshields, etc., plus to make it easier for loading.
