I agree with SHC, here's a pic of the load I delivered this morning with the ramps just stacked up (not on end) as a bridge. for me they're worth it just for the few ramps needed loads I get, but doubling as bridges I wouldn't want to pull my stepdeck without em.

If you do build your own be aware some places will give you a hard time. Steel Dynamics by Ft. Wayne, IN refused to load on ramps a company I worked for built in their shop. The big boss called and they eventually agreed to load if we chained them down, so we chained them down. But then they refused to load again unless we bolted hardwood to the tops instead of just setting the wood on. Not to mention if you build them of steel they get real heavy, real fast.

I got mine from Discount Ramps. HD combo ramp/leveler. Light, USABLE........wouldn't be without them. Best of all they stow easily; some of the home-built contraptions I have seen take up too much space when you are not using them.

so where would i get the 2 piece set?????

i've got one set, need one more. or would 3 sets be recommended??? one goes on each side of the trailer. then you fill it with 4 x 4's.

Your trailer is set up like mine, I assume you have to use load levelers on loads longer then 30'? Anyone who doesn't chain their load levelers down Is a moron anyway

I have 4 levelers and have used them on a 53 to haul steel beams, plate and roof sheets lots of times. I don't think you'd need more than 4.

them full sized babiees are expensive though. paid $170 for the one set i have already. and i still need 4 x 4 dunnage and ratchet straps i'll probably get from harborfreight.

the 2 piece set is kinda nice as they are very light and easily fit in the tool box. and everyone packs dunnage so no loss on the weight gain there.
