This is an old post but an ignorant statement none the less.
I have been hauling onions for 20 years and im still in business, i dont haul copper but the onions have paid many of my bills.

Well? Did they freeze? 28 degrees isn't cold enough, and they are inside a trailer...

Ne careful hauling Onions out of the NE this time of the year.. We will only haul onions in Refers this time of year period.. Those clowns up in the NE will put them Onions on anything and hope they will freeze so they can get them paid for with insurance claims.. I know there is not much freight out of the NE right now but only haul produce in a refer unless you are prepared for the worst to happen as it will..
