Allan, I remember you getting upset when they didn't mount your tarp boxes. Guess that was a minor problem, compared to this!

East says it can be fixed, but the local dealer doesn't want to do it.

I will *NEVER* buy another East trailer. I had a problem about 1.5 years ago where I was constantly blowing brake fuses in the truck. I finally figured it out, the main harness on the trailer had an internal short. It was on warranty but took them 5 weeks to do it, 4 of that was waiting for a harness.

On top of that the local East dealer did a very bad brake job about 2 years ago. The brakes lasted about 150,000 miles, and I'm very very easy on brakes. I had drums out of round, leaking wheel seals(after they had all been done), on and on.

This is the third and final strike. A dealer shouldn't sell what they cannot fix. And I shouldn't have to pull a trailer 1200 miles to get some welding done. I may look into getting it done locally, but East is getting me a quote this week to do it down there.

What do you get for $13,000 a new trailer welded to the crack you have?

    Someone must be drunk!

That's not a quote, that's someone trying to bend you over the fuel tank and sexually abuse your wallet!

One of the reasons I won't buy an all aluminum. Welding them is rediculous!
