Ok follow me here... I just landed a direct contract that pays cwt + %fsc on 40,000# min

I want to check my math so first to figure cwt pay is my equation corect @ $.61 .... 40,000 x .0061 = 244?

    now fsc equation @ 28% .... 244 x .28 = 68.32? ....... So total load pay is $244 + $68.32 = $312.32?

I have been trying to figure this out based on some loads that I have done through a broker reconstructing the equation...I don't want to ask the customer and look like a dunce so any help would be appreciated...if you dont know what I mean please dont confuse the situation cause my brain is now fried...

    Thanks in advance

If the CWT is 4.00 and the FSC is 25% at 40K then the line haul is 1600.00 and the FSC is 400.00 for a total of 2000.00.

Yes your math is correct, or at least this is the same way I figure my cwt loads hope it helps.

Your calculation is right, but the rate per cwt must be wrong unless you are only hauling the load across the street.

Give them a flat rate at $500.

For $300 and some change, it's not even worth starting the truck

It was the first load I pulled off the rate sheet .... That may be handled by the company trucks I am not sure ... I was only trying to check to see if I was doing the equation properly

Remember, that is on any load weighing up to 40,000 pounds as its a 40 mini. Anything over the mini is additional, at that rate per cwt.
