so lets hear what you carry on your trucks. Tools, extra parts, etc., handy items that you have found that save time and effort or money. besides the standard (straps chains binders etc. etc.)

I have one of those suitcases from sears with 1/4,3/8 and 1/2 sockets sets in it also a set of open/box end wrenches. Along with misc pliers, cresent wrenches, vice grips. A few nuts and bolts plus 1/4 and 3/8 air line fittings. Tire gauge, tire air chuck, one of those valve cap removal tools. Several flashlights. Regular gloves, water proof gloves, latex mechanics gloves. Hammers ball peen and also a 5# hammer along with a short and a long wrecking bar. Nails I get these from places I pick up at. I even have one of those flashlights that strap on your head when your alone it frees up your hands to do what you have to do. Penetrating oil,a small oil can and a qt. of cheap motor oil. I oil my wenches and binders.

You don't need any tools- this is flatbedding amateur style: one big blue Home Depot special tarp, a few straps with huge holes and cuts, (you can strap a humvee with them no worries) no chains or binders, no spare parts, lots of duct tape to put your fenders back on after everytime you back into a truck stop parking lot, and some bungees to hold your tv antenna on the mirror bracket while you drive.

I seen to bring everything except what I really need, when I need it. Always bring enough tools extra hose filters and belts and clutch cable and 5 gallon bucket. In winter I bring a buddy heater and extra propane bottles not going to freeze.

Maybe instead of a jug just a funnel & hose running down to the ground through a hole cut in the shifter boot?
