Ok,,,thanks for replying so fast. I know where there is one so I will hit them up next time I am home. If beveled, can they still be used for other purposes? I am trying to lighten my trk/trlr 500lbs so, I don't want to carry anything I don't need. I can currently only haul around 37,500 lbs with full tanks.
MJ1657 Thanks this. -
I can't see why beveled would be a problem for most anything you would haul. I don't haul coils so my dunnage is not beveled though.
I'm sure others could chime in if beveled would be an issue for general freight. -
You can use beveled lumber for general freight like lumber, flat steel, and such. I never had a problem doing it.

Don't get into special dunnage, unless your going RGN.
Invest in 4x4's. Where you can get them for a cheap price. Start off with 6-8 sticks, some customers want 12.
Below is a link to your previous post on coil racks. And beveled dunnage.

After thinking about it, instead of just going off the cuff,,I realized that the only thing you need beveled wood for is coils so, why would you need more than say 6 peices? I can only haul up to 48Klbs so, that is most likely never going to be more than 2 coils, especially since I don't haul them much. So, I figure 4 beveled sticks aught to do it and the rest can be just regular 4x4's..
MJ1657 Thanks this. -
The most I've hauled legal is four coils that had to be suicide one after another. But that was before I only hauled steel, and I ran them on straight 4x4's. I see most with three or less, with three coils you could almost have two sets of 4' dunnage and one 6' set and be good. That's how i'd do it if I where over the road open deck.
