Will you be the only one pulling this trailer?
-
get the twist and push..if you use just the push type if it is hit by a small rock or the collar is tapped it will disconnect,

Take a look at Clucks thread air and electric. Flightline had some good tips on which ends to use.

When I had my trailer rigged up with QD's I made gladhands for each side in case a yard jockey need to move my trailer or I need to move one with my truck. When I sent my trailer to Mexico, I just used a ziptie to lock the QD.

this may be stupid, but what is so wrong with glad hands?
-
I bought the new 15 foot straight hoses with quick couplers and have a set of quick coupling glad hands incase they need to be used but if I have to ise glad hands I put a ziptie around them to make sure they dont separate

I run a stretch trailer, at the rear of the trailer, you have quick connects for air hoses so when you stretch, you hook up ur air and electrical to your frame at different points, depending on how far you stretch... I had one fail while running a load on the interstate and tore up a a few good tires and a set of underwear
yes im on the only one -
I am guessing that your $250 per hour mechanic suggested the zip tie on the gladhand, eh grasshopper?? LOL
