Started my new job last Monday. driving construction materials around for a construction company in Denver.

Been making about $250 a day give or take. piece work (per load) + mileage.

$15 for stopping and getting fuel, oil/washer fluid/anti freeze) or to take someone to pickup a truck. (delivery stop pay is different).

ran 6 loads yesterday and had a $290 day!

Nothing really difficult. Loading/unloading is the time consuming part.

We dont have the large OTR tarps. just the short ones which is so nice! Makes it really easy to handle them, unfold them, lay em out and fold em back up.

strapping is easy and I have a strap winder that makes nice neat tight rolls when I unload.

local route with some regional runs, mostly home every night, off on weekends. great benefits, 5 days vacation to use in my first year, 10 paid holidays a year.

Paper logs. no idle policy crap. no rollover or hard brake sensors. no babysitters.

not a bad gig at all.

Will post a pic of my truck up later.

International daycab with a 10 speed manual. 2600 miles on the odometer.

Brand new 48' Fontaine flatbed trailer.

He couldn't get to the interview; the road was blocked by a FedEx truck laying on it's side blocking the highway.
