When you get to a customer for pick-up and it turns out that you don't have to tarp it!!!!!:biggrin_255:

Especially when its 15 degrees outside....I went from thinking I was gonna have to use 8ft tarps for 30 ft and now im happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be nice if they handed you a cold one and said " We'll load it, strap it, deliver it, and bring your truck back oiled, greased, and full of fuel - you just relax"

    Maybe I went a bit far there . . .

Happy when a competent person is running the fork lift instead of the summer help.

What a feeling when you pick up a load of guard rails in sleet and freezing cold & they won't give you the BOL until the load is tarped. I said, "What, guard rails have to be tarped?" Yes, they do!

So they treat us like kids in ALL aspects of this biz? Whew! I was starting to think it was just my job. Lol. I always looked at truckers with the utmost respect. Then I became one and quickly realized I may have been the only one felt that way. Ha!!!

Key word is TRUCKER. There IS a difference between a Driver and a Trucker.

A Driver is a person that can DRIVE anything. A Trucker is the organic part of a machine. Sort of like the Terminator, but the living tissue is on the inside not the outside.

When ever a book a load with a broker that needs to be tarped, I get paid for that but, when I get to shipper I always ask and if they say no or don't know, I call consignee. If the consignee says no,,,then the load don't get tarped.
