Reitnouer developed these small blocks that lock in the floor....just wondering if they work well
Anybody use Reitnouer coil blocks?

Yes I have had them for close to a year now without any issues. I've had up to a 64,000 lb. single loaded on them, and all I haul is coils so they have defiantly been put to the test.
Clasix1055 Thanks this. -
Thanks do you just use 2 per side?.....I wanted the 5ft bunks but they are $800 a set and I would need at least 2 so I passed....I mainly haul shotgun so I think it would be good...did you order them or do you know who carries in store

I picked them up at TMI in Walton, KY an I think tarp city carries them also. I use three per side with my 40-48# coils, may be a little over kill but I have extra, since I picked up a set of bunks for the rear coil a decent price. When I put the 64 on I used 4 per side. I couldn't get a straight answer on how much weight I could put on them.
You can set them up on the inside track if you get a smaller coil or you can set them up on the outside track for larger coils. I use 6x6s with them in the outside track. Also sitting them up on the outside track with the 6x6s your putting all the weight on the main beams instead of the center of the trailer when you use the smaller coil racks with 4x4s.Clasix1055 Thanks this. -
Copy....Thanks....thats exactly what I was thinking.....figured I would buy 12 that way if I have enough for 3 racks but if haul 2 mid size 35k- 50k I can use 3 and the big singles I could use 4 ..... I also had a hard time finding what they were rated at but your info helps a lot
the gambler Thanks this. -
Was curious if you picked up a set yet?
-
I did .... I had 12 shipped from double a trailers in Delphos, OH....I have ran a few loads with them.....my only concern is the track (where the j hooks fit) is too far apart ..... I use the track where the bolts are face down but it doesn't seem like it locks in right.....I called Ritenouer to get some direction but havent got a call back yet.....if I use the j track i might need to put wood behind it like you would if you had narrow coils

I will take a couple pictures of the way I keep mine set up on monday, pictures will explain it better.
