UPDATE: Ok today after filing a claim with PayPal and 43 days later after I ordered it, I finially received the book in the mail. I have no idea why it took so long, but I'll pass the info on if the book is any good.

Thank you, Wheels of Justice was paperbacks I was addicted to. If I can get them I would buy them in a heart beat. Some of my best moments came from those paperbacks. I don't like Cops. I just like driving. No body has any lead to the books. Google don't have it, Bing don't have it.

43 days is unacceptable. You can get more info here than from any one author. There's 100,000 authors here and ten views on any one topic. :)

Yes but on here, you have to sort through hundreds of threads, and the search engine for this forum is absolutely horrendous. And then you have to sort through all of the posts on these threads, discern which posts were written by trolls like me, and which are legitimate. And then you have to read through the 10 different views on any given thread, and sort through the arguments.:biggrin_2559:

And this even holds true for THIS thread! BigBadBill says the book is a ripoff, and then you have another who has read it and says it's good.

I wish there was an answer.

Ha, I read the report and the seller did not ship the book as soon as possible or alert me that he was out of stock. After I contacted him 3 times via e-mail and was told I would receive a tracking number, which I did not receive. The seller did offer a refund which I did not receive and did not offer any firm delivery date.

On Feb 5. I sent an e-mail asking where was the book. Book was order over 2 weeks ago. Got a reply "What is your shipping address? I can't find where it was shipped I will send one out at the end of the week."

On Feb 16. I sent another e-mail being that it has been almost a month now and still no book. Got a reply "Did you receive a tracking number? and what City and State do you live in?" I replied no I did not receive a tracking number. I then got another reply saying this "We are out of stock and have an order coming. I thought yours had shipped, your name sounded familiar. I'm expecting the new order this week. I will throw in a free copy of the Ultimate Guide to Driver Retention when I ship your book to make up for it."
I did not get the free copy of the Ultimate Guide to Driver Retention.

The book has a total of 119 pages in it, only 47 pages have something to read on it, the rest of the pages are blank "Notes" where you write something more than the writer of this book did. Some of the 47 pages have anywhere from 2 sentences to 3 pargraphs on them.
I think this book would be ok for someone that has never talked to a broker before, but I didn't get anything out of it, and I read it in like 30 minuets.
A fair price would be somewhere around $9.99 NOT $39.99 plus shipping.

LOL wow. Yeah, I think I'd consider that a ripoff.
I won't be buying the book after all.

In order to keep this thread alive and constructive, does anyone have any advice on good books to read about the trucking industry? Negotiating skills? Anything of the like?

Hello to everyone in this thread. I just happened to stumble upon this and wanted to respond to the negative information right away. I was not aware of any of these things on here. All Books are delivered promptly. The person on here from Charlottesville, VA received his book, I sent his tracking number and never heard from him again. Anyone who has not received an order, please contact me and I will send another book and or refund your money. I ship all orders through the post office to save money for my customers. I have had to send replacement books for some who did not receive, which I am happy to do. The reason the guy on here didn't contact paypal is because he received his book. If anyone has any issues please contact me at mkomadina@live.com. All of my books are available on Amazon also.

The person who described the information in Negotiating with Freight Brokers called the book a lot re-hashed material, I would like to know where he has seen the information. He either didn't take the time to read the book or didn't put any of it into practice. Please send me details and not make a general statement I can't help you with.

I get a lot of positive feedback from my book customers and blog readers, this thread was surprising to me. I have also posted free negotiating tips for you guys on my blog posts. They work and work well. Feel free to email me anytime with any questions. My blogs are trucking based and are for Drivers, Owner operators and carriers. 50,000 people read my blogs every month, they are free and you are more than welcome to contact me at anytime.

    Sincerely,

    Mike Komadina
