That's what I heard today from Conway on a posted load. The guy asked for my MC number and then explained that he didn't want to waste any of our time.
I have had 2 in my 5 years of being in business and I wasn't about to go looking for a DOT officer to find something wrong.
Any other brokers out here with bs standards like that?
You have to have 3 roadside inspections?

Sounds like bs to me too...
nightgunner, magnum2 and EverLuc Thank this. -
I have never had any broker want me to have a certain number of questions. Some won't load a new carrier until they have been in business for a certain time period.

Some wont load dirty trucks either. We had several customers who said, "Don't send dirty and plain trucks to us. WE want those shiny ones."

I know some brokers won't accept certain companies if they have a bad safety rating but this is the first I heard you need 3 roadside inspections.Bet they don't have an easy time finding drivers either.

Some companies wont load you if you if you have a CAT motor, or if you say Cummings instead of Cummins. They will ban you from the property. I don't blame em.

It's their freight and their customer, they can set what ever standards they want.

I have had my authority for right at a year now and have recently discovered two brokers that would not use me because I have not had any roadside inspections. Oh well I am not going to go and ask to get inspected.
-
I believe that is necessary to establish a safety rating. I could be wrong.

Never heard tell of it....but I have plenty of inspections.
