So, I booked the load with TQL. He told me shipper is open until 4 pm. We got there at 3:30 pm. Guess what? They were closed. Ok, We had appointment for delivery next day 9:00 pm. And seems like we have plenty of time to get there.
So, broker WAS SO NICE TO ME, AND HE WAS ASKING FOR MY HELP, to WAIT TILL THE MORNING (never be kind to broker, they are not humans). Ok, well, I said fine. In the early morning we got loaded.
My driver said- it's very tight, but I will try to make it by 9:00 pm.
So, on the way to delivery tire blew off. Well, it's trucking, #### happens. And, I asked the broker- please reschedule the appointment for the next morning. Seems like we won't make it.
His answer is just CLASSICAL TQL RESPONSE: TRY TO MAKE IT BY 9:00 pm, otherwise there will be charge.
Well, ok. Charge. But I need appointment moved now. HE DIDN'T CHANGE IT! HE IS SAYING: TRY TO MAKE IT BY 9:00 PM. BUT WHAT IF ITIS IMPOSSIBLE? I AM TELLING YOU WE WILL NOT MAKE IT, DO YOU HEAR ME????

Now my driver is sitting at the delivery, and security guard said, that he won't be unloaded till the evening.
Well, ofcourse, because we should've taken appointment yesterday.
THEY ARE NOT HUMAN BEINGS. THEY DON'T HAVE THE EMPATHY, DON'T WORK WITH THEM !!!! NEVER EVER!!!!

LESSON: NEVER TREAT THEM LIKE THEY ARE HUMAN BEINGS! NEVER BE NICE TO THEM! DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO, DON'T EVER DO ANYTHING "NICE" TO TQL! THE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GET PAID WELL BECAUSE YOU WILL BE DEALING WITH #### BY YOURSELF!!!!!!!!

Im not sorry you had a bad experience with TQL. It not my fault. However, I will say that I've hauled quite a few loads for TQL and all were paid on time, with no hassle or headache booking, picking up, and delivering the load. Just because you had one little itty bitty problem you don't have to degrade a whole company. They are very hard to find "good" brokers with every large brokerage but when you DO find the good ones keep them.

TQL has a few rotten apples.

Ive found it easier to work with female dispatchers over there.

And Ive hauled enough loads for them, to where they dont even call for an update. I loaded this morning, and forgot to call them. This thread reminded me of that, and I realized they have not called. They see my history and arent worried I guess.

    Yes and no.

Ive hauled loads for another broker and they asked me to set them up on Micropoint. I did.. But since then I got rid of it.

This time around TQL didnt say anything about micropoint. But called for an update... then I start getting text messages, and a phone call from an automated system asking me to set them up on micropoint. I simply ignored the texts and call.

The way I see it, is the government pretty much tracks you anyway. Whats another broker gonna do? ;)

This is a regular thing with them. If everything goes good then they are a minor pain in the neck. If you break down or have an issue they have an absolute fit. They do offer good rates but I got caught in the TQL whirlwind of BS again yesterday for the last time. I should never have even answered the phone when they called. It's also not a one bad apple deal. I've dealt with maybe two brokers there that were even worth talking to, the rest should be deported to Siberia in my opinion.
