For the past three weeks or so I have been looking into becoming a freight broker. I have read some horror stories and have really been taking my time learning the pro's and con's of this area in trucking. I drove three years over the road before leaving my job to care for my ill parent. Does anyone have some good advice on where I need to start or what I need to do. I'm willing to work for a legit brokering company, but I don't know where to find one with all the bad apples out here you have to be really cautious. Does anyone have valid and legit information on where I should start to look for help. I know exactly what type of freight I want to get involved with and just need a heads up on where to start. :biggrin_25514::biggrin_25515::biggrin_25526::biggrin_255:

Get your own broker authority. Pacific Financial, for the bond. Use a factoring company to pay the trucking companies, TBS maybe. Do some reading, maybe check out YouTube, and bamb you are self employed with your own business.
