Just curious do you collect the pay for the load off the agent or the company you've delivered for? By the way how are CH Robertson going we used them to get alot freight?

Your contract is going to be with the broker. I have known some drivers to go after the shipper but not sure if they get much more than trashing the name of the broker.

CHR still does a lot. Have to know how to work them to get the better rates.

...Mostly the agent( read Broker), unless your doing a "direct load" for a company.
I have some direct loads, and when I arrive to unload, the receiving manager cut's me a check right there on the spot.
I drive 2 blocks away after dropping that load and cash the check that was just given to me for the load.

As for CH Robinson, you have to know how to work the rate, mostly heavy loads that don't pay anything...hence CH = CHEAP AND HEAVY"

Why would we pay someone 10% to do the work we already do. That is 10% on top of what ever the broker charges, right? You don't have direct loads, right?

Why would anyone pay $15,000 - $20,000 for someone to do a little paperwork and make a few phone calls?

I see your posts all over the TTR Forum today but couldn't figure your angle until now.

What you are offering is 2-3% of rate at best. You would be amazed at what you get for 89% of the gross.

We are on the same wavelength Bill. I posted 2% - 4% to this in another location. They have been awful busy for one day on the site.

A couple of hours on one evening and they have nine posts. One offers information. Of the remaining eight, four times it is suggested those looking for employment should get themselves a truck. Three times it is suggested that owner operators aren't the best business people. Four times a service is suggested with a percentage quote and twice a name is dropped.

It appears their are two services with nearly the same name though. The only difference is assistant and assistance.
