Having worked for Yusen (Formerly NYK) I can tell you that rule is simply 6 months minimum for authority. However, this rule is not hard in stone. If you have a large fleet or can convince a branch to use you or ask their carrier relations group to review as long as you have 3 months you could get a pass. There are not solid set rules (at least with this company) it is all simply up to the conjecture of the compliance manager. So you do have a chance as long as you're not a one truck guy and can "convince" them you are worth using. Hope this helps.

Dont use Friday Logistics of Beaver Dam Wi. Cant get their info correct for a load. Really messed up on a load we got from them and made my weekend really bad.
-
Vector Transport not sure if they have multiple locations. Area Code is 662/Northern Ms.
Anyways, they sent me to the wrong place/town address. -
Northeast Logistics out of Mechanicsburg PA. Lookout for these guys, he calls us at 1pm to offer a load and mumbled that till 10pm. So we go through the setup procedure. at about 2:40pm I get an email with rate sheet with past times of 2:00pm and dlivery time of 8:00pm for 300 some miles with any regards. And the tells me that this is BS that you can't take the load. Stay away from them all together.

Here is a grand idea.
If you are pulling a flat or (I can speak more to) REEFER - try this. Put your REEFER in an area where you know the rates are going to be good, post it up and then you will see just how the brokers are "ganging up on you." Guess what happens when you can legitimately tell them the next guy is offering you X and this guy says he wants to pay Y. You can almost name your price. If you are providing good service and delivering when you say you will in the reefer world, you will have no shortage of rates that keep you moving and handsomely profitable. If you want to run the dry van world ..... good luck to you then. Look at how many dry van mega carriers there are around. It's competition, that is all. If you don't like it then change what you are doing. If you keep getting "ganged up upon" then get out of the fight if you can't make money. You said in an earlier post that you have done lots of cheap loads for the mega brokers, and you wonder why they keep offering you garbage? They know you will take it. Try telling the broker you will do it for YOUR price and when he doesn't want to pay it to you then tell him you are leaving empty. He will probably tell you that you are stupid for doing it but whatever - tell him to put it on his own truck then.
Alternatively you could continue your ways, and keep shortening your list of where you can get loads from. That should bode well for long term success ...atrucker Thanks this. -

Do you guys get load cancelled 90% of the time? This is the second week they have been cancelling on me. Last week it was Freight Quote cancelled after a day and a half. This week it Northeast out of Mechanicsburg PA. Here are the last two. Kai at Schneider, And the second one Landstar she said her name was Kayla. Kai said she was an executive. (what kind of I have no idea see attachment). I booked a load from MD to NC for whatever she said.( $511) a bit over 300 miles including dead head. She told me that insurance cert needs to be updated. The load was for next day and she got the cert in timely fashion. She sent me an email in the am saying that, she covered the load because of delay in cert. Today again the same thing Landstar Kayla booked a load for $820 for approx 750mile to booni land in GA, 43K on the weight. During negociations I asked if she could come up to $850, she said shat she has to check with the customer, and came back with $820 to be max. So being not able to book a load for some time I agreed and booked it. She told me the same thing that the insurance cert needs updated (I had just updated the cert last week when I did a load with landstar. Anyway when the day was over she called and left message the customer covered the load. WTF
