A couple of Brokers to stay away from. Unless you like waiting 60+ days to get paid. BCQ Trans INC, out of Norwich NY. Have been calling them 3 times a week looking for my $, getting the run around. Pacwest Distributing, out of Pleasanton CA. Agreed to 14 day pay terms, at 60 Days over now. Same as above, Called them 3-4 times a week. Calls went unreturned most of the time. When i did speak to somebody i was told it was in the mail, still nothing in the mailbox yet.

BCQ has a credit rating of D and has a claim outstanding for $5,530. Probably yours. They have had a bad credit rating from the start so I'm not sure why you even booked a load with them! Same thing with Pacwest. Bad credit rating. If your on The Internet Truckstop you need to pay for the credit option and not take loads from people who do not have an A rating.

I ran a local load for Pacwest Distributing on 10/8/14. They said that quickpay needed to be set up BEFORE running the load and I was going to have to wait the full term of 45 days (strike 1). My check was supposed to be mailed out on 12/1. After many emails and phone calls of getting nowhere with these clowns (strike 2) I still have yet to receive a check. I've called and emailed but no response and they're not answering the phone, no voicemail, cell phones out of service(strike 3). Looks like they already closed their doors? Anyone else out there awaiting payment from these people?

Pacwest was in trouble back in May and had a bad credit rating when you took the load. If you would have checked their credit rating you wouldn't have been screwed. They are up to $180,000 owed now.

Nobody gets their money. You can file against their bond but it works like this. It's not who puts the claim in first, it's who's invoice is the oldest then so on until the bond runs out.

Nobody is going to get their money. This is the best scam every invented if you want to retire and screw everyone!!! I've posted the list of brokers going out of business every day. It's not because the shippers aren't paying, it's because they want a ton of money and screw you!

The company I'm leased with was working with them in the beginning of the year and after pacwest was 90 days late on paying we stopped hauling for them. They were owed 55k and the owner of pacwest had setup a payment plan with them after my boss called into safeway- where we delivered, exclusively. They are still owed 6k from pacwest and talked to someone (I think a lawyer) who has said there are 370k in claims against pacwest and they would go to shippers or Safeway to collect money on everyone's behalf- minus a 50% fee. Luckily the company I'm with did their due diligence. But there are people out there who say pacwest owes them 250k and just got a letter in the mail notifying them of the bankruptcy filing. Very messed up situation where us truckers are left holding the short end of the stick, again!

Dont worry all is not lost. You are going to have to sue the shipper to collect. The law says they are still responsible if the broker fails to pay. You will need to file a small claims case and you can do it yourself no lawyer.
