I have a 2009 Freightliner Cascadia Detroit Series 60 Engine, it runs fine for about 300-400 miles and than the noise of the engine changes and the engine RPM starts to drop and go back up again, this continues for another 50 miles after that engine starts working properly again, the hole process repeats over and over again. PLEASE HELP!!!

Do you think it might be the injectors? Also do you know what is the function of a TPS sensor?

Not sure about a 2009 but sounds like a injector problem. the TPS sensor will give you a fault code if it is bad. I believe it is Turbo Pressure Sensor tells computer to either increase turbo or decrease
