Freightliner M2/Mercedes

Is anyone runnin an M2 (or anything for that matter) with a Mercedes engine? I am lookin at a Sports Chassis, would like the Cummins but of course they only come 08 or newer and I don't want to spend $100k has anyone had any experience with Mercedes? I've heard different things, now just confused, but I found a pretty good deal on one so I need to act fast, help me out please!

FL also offers the M2 as a glider kit truck. Then you could put any pre-emission rebuilt engine you want in it. And it would be way cheaper than $100K. It would strictly be a spec and order deal. You would not find one of these on a lot.
