Kingpins

    I need new kingpins, i was told that a screw type are the best, last about 1,000,000 miles. Anybody used then ? How long do they seam to last?

    Probly talking about kiaser no reams I think stemco bought them they use a steel bushings that you kinda thread in yea I like them they seem to hold up good in the onroad/offroad trucks.there so easy to put in even a cave man can do it.

    The Kaiser Qwik kits are the way to go. About twice as much as OEM, but take about half as much time for a mechanic to in$tall. A 94FLD, if that's what you are driving will run about $250-300 for Kaiser and about $150-250 OEM. This is if you have the 12,000lbs front end. Higher ratings are slightly higher $. As for durabilty is concerned I have heard little complaints, if any from either brands.

    I'm wanting to replace my kingpins as well. In a 98 pete 379.
    How hard are they to remove? Do I need a special tool?
