1999 Century w/Detroit 60 series and Eaton/Fuller 10 speed Auto-shift not shifting

My truck has "Service" light flashing and wont shift and engine rpm jumping all over the place. When it does shift up it lags too long. I had to move shifter to "H" and shift manually to back to shop. RPM's jumping all over the place. Thanks for any help.

start with the speed sensor.cost less than $100 and may be an hour of your time at most to replace it
