    Hi everyone,
If I post in wrong section, mods, please move where needed.
I'm buying truck tomorrow and have last question. I'm buying from freightliner dealer 2009 Columbia. Dealer asking $500 for transferring manufacturing warranty on me. Why it is on owner, not on truck itself? Is he just trying to get extra from me for free stuff?

if you are happy with the deal you have, tell them to drop the $500 or no deal. they are not paying anything for the transfer, maybe some admin. time to do the paperwork. the salesman is not going to let $500 come between him an a sale. jon

IIRC it's the Detroit warranty that you have to pay to transfer, not Freightliner, and $500 does ring a bell.
