You adjust the steering by spinning the steering wheel, counter clockwise for left, clockwise for right :) Seriously though, what is the issue? If there is play in the steering, do not try to fix it yourself. This is steering, a huge safety issue, not something that should be messed with by someone who needs help finding the steering box.

    123456 and kacey1959 Thank this.

Not asking for myself. I was asking for a friend. They had a little play in the steering and thought I could find the info on here.

There are torque requirement on the gearbox adjustment. It is bolted to the frame at the end of the steering column, Do Not Mess with this if you do not know what your doing.

It needs an complete steering/suspension inspection. U-joints, drag link, tie rod ends, king pins, steering box, springs, etc. Play in steering can come from many places. The steering box can be adjusted, but needing a sector shaft adjustment is a sign of the box wearing out. It is adjusted when new or rebuilt and it shouldn't need further adjustment.
