Any fleet owners or mechanics of these trucks seeing repeated parts failure? EGR's, EGR Coolers, EGR Vent Line, Turbo Actuators, Throttle Intake Valves, Fuel Lines Cracking,
Radiator/Condensor cracking, ECM Software issues? More time on a tow hook, than hauling freight.

I have no personal experience with these engines but there is a lot of talk about staying away from them and opting for the Detroit option if going with a Freighty.

how much do you idle the truck.? It seems the more I idle my S60 EGR, the more things are an issue for me.

Not sure what they changed for the '07 emissions, but my '06 has been pretty good since new.
Just had to replace the EGR valve this past weekend due to a CEL coming on. Cost me nothing as I had a spare, and took maybe 1/2hr of my time.
Overall a very easy motor to work on yourself, especially compared to the DD's etc.
I hear all the "horror stories", but they mainly come from folks that do not own one for some reason. I only comment on stuff I run myself. One thing to be sure of, is to make sure that whoever is working on it knows what they are doing. Some "mechanics" have no clue, and cause more harm than good.
I had 1 EGR cooler replaced under warranty, and that was the only one.
Turbo actuator got replaced at the same time of a turbo, but never "failed' per say.
High pressure fuel line was a recall, and should have been installed FOC by a dealer. The new ones have a small weight on the line, making them easily identifiable compared to the old style. No leakage since the new ones went on.

all are somewhat "common" failures but shouldn't be repeated failures of the same parts unless many miles are on them, also make sure the wiring harness is in good shape
