i am thinking I need to replace my clutch in a 2000 fld 120 with a 10 speed auto shift. when I try to accelerate to quickly it want to start slipping. Also can I call frieghtliner with the vin# and will they be able to tell me the part# I need?
what does it cost to replace a clutch!!!

I had mine done at Freightliner about 3 months ago, 10 speed autoshift in a Century, cost $2450 for the big clutch. I think it was 1650 ft lb. There were two options I got the bigger of the two whatever it was. If there going to be in there let them check the rear seal out. Well worth doing if you are there already!!!!!

i change my clutch in a shop in miami with tax $1452,was a heavy spicer clutch(COLUMBIA WITH AUTO)

We have local mechanics who do it for around 400 labor, clutch, about 500, bearing,seal, turning flywheel, another 150. this is for regular transmission, not auto-shift.1 day job.last time I had one installed, 1100 bucks. I cannot afford to have a dealership do my repairs.

i replaced mine little over a year ago in my vnl ,this shop put big clutch, turned flywheel, new rear end crankshaft seal, new forks , new clutch break, new push bearing,so pretty much everything betwen transmission housing and engine is brend new..... i paid with labor 1650$$$ i left my truck on friday afternoon and was ready sat morning
