hallo all,

for trucks systems based on Mr (PLD) ADM, FR, MCM, deep diagnostic and programing tool is MB Truck Explorer.
As i know it working by OBD2 (16 pol diagnostic port), MB14pin (14 pol diagnostic port) and by direct connect to PLD.
With it you can read, Write full memory of PLS. Programm Keys, Chnage speed limit, DTC read/clear, osme special operations.

What a reason to get it for truck owner?

BTW, about PLD used on US trucks - they use Euro-3 with optional EGR, so it is like Euro3+.

 

Dear Pablo, Truck not so cheap too.
..this tool is like truck, used for commercial purpose.
MB Explorer orientated more to chip tuning, locksmiths and trucks professionals. For owners?! Hmm difficult to say..
About Euro classes and US market - more important hardware version and software release. Sure if you need repair truck and save some money on new PLD and evacuator.

 

really I fix PLD. I have no Explorer, so I have to desolder chips for reprogramming. It is really easy to remove immo from any PLD unit, including new with two eprom (for DEF trucks)

 

when yuo open PLD will have not warrany more. New one PLD have only one EEPROM and secured CPU XC2287 without external Flash. All PLD types you can check here http://autovei.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2

 

yep, I know, but really new PLD units are rare

 

BTW, can I use truck explorer with Detroit CRD engines?
