classic freightliner no breathers

    hey yall can i put external breathers on my 06 classic (not xl) looks like it would be easy just wondering if there is some reason not to do it, since the truck came without them, thanks

    No way that truck came without breathers of it runs without engine breather it ll blow a lot of seals and gaskets

    Aerodynamics would be the main reason not to, btw I'm guessin' yer talkin' 'bout air filters. ;)

    Visibility towards the driver's side front would suffer, too. I have seen muffler and air cleaner on passenger side only on a few large cars.

    Yes same cabs between classic and classic xl just hood different length externally can only see about 3 to 4 inches of drivers side air cleaner from seat so if u call that obstructing view u already hit what u supposedly didnt see before that. Cut the holes get the duct work and put them on no problem.

    My guess is he is working in dusty situations and is tired of replacing filter under hood every two weeks.
