I replaced my alternator about a month ago...I installed a new Delco-Remi alternator but a couple of days ago I began hearing this squeaking noise coming what seems to be from a pulley or belt from around the alternator area...Now this morning I noticed my volt meter gauge dropped from 13.5 to about 11.5...the noise seemed to be getting more consistent...any ideas what could be causing this.

if its on a det 60 check the alt mount see if hole is egged out also take the mount off and check the holes in the front cover they will egg out as well and cause the alt to sit at a angle

Thanks for the help...I took it to my mechanic turns out the alternator was defective...a brand new delco-remy alternator...so got it replaced through the warranty and its running fine now...I kind of figured it could be the alternator when the volts dropped from 13.5 to 11.5...thanks for the help either way.
