where can I get and how much would it cost to get the seat replaced in the newer Cascadia. my drivers seat has been ruined from multiple things. my dog being a big problem, even though I don't help it myself. im not talking the whole seat assembly, just the cushion part that you sit on. I tried talking to freightliner but they just said I would have to bring it in and would give no other info, that's not what im about.

I'd suggest contacting a wrecking yard for semis. Even new trucks get totaled, but the seat cushion shouldn't be affected.

They need the VIN number or the last 6 characters of it, to identify what the truck was equipped with, and if done by dealers, any repairs or modification.

It's probably a non branded National seat, that company makes the two choices said to be offered on FL, but I saw a new Cascadia at the dealer with a Sears seat, so others can be specified as well.

Seat cushions are available, and probably seat covers as well, as a broken cushion(I don't know how it happens but I have seen it), or a torn or otherwise damaged seat cover can be replaced, also, the shock absorber and the air ride cartridge can be replaced.

its just the cushion that need replacing, dogs thought the leather part would taste good so you can see where that goes. and between me and her getting in and outta the truck in all different types of weather conditions and whatnot it pretty stained as well. shes about to be off the truck and im trying to get it back to looking right.

280k and my drivers side seat is being held together by duct tape. They didn't do much life cycle testing in Mexico apparently. And there are many more just like it in the fleet so no big butt comments, plz...lol.

Or the guy doing the life cycle testing only weighed 100 pounds instead of your standard 200+ driver testing it :)

Sounds like a local upholstery shop may be able to get you a new cushion and cover in the color of your choice - probably the most economical as well. Have you tried that route?

200 + pounds? Have you been in a truckstop lately? I would hazard to guess 300 +

I'm not a fan of the new cascadia seats, they made them so big, I feel like I'm sittin on a mattress.

If it is just the seat cover and cushion Check out a Auto shop that does interior work, If in Texas (Austin Area) I know a guy that would make that seat look like new again, he is great in recoving seats and works for a custom car shop.
