    Hello All,
I'm having a issue with power in my Cascadia. When ever I'm going up hill even with empty trailer I loose power on Foot and if I'm on Cruise its little better but not full power.Had my Mechanic checked it out and found that the Delta Prassure Sensor was missing and it was compleatly bypassed. Now mechanic can't find the harness coming from the ECM or Engine. I bought this truck used and it was a fleet truck. Don't know why fleet would bypass the delta sensor. Now I have spoken with dealer but they said that labour would be sky high for reinstalling everything. What are my options here. Can someone help here with this issue.

    Thanks In Advance

If you search for mbe 4000 performance or power issues, there is a long thread on that. I think they say bypassing barometric or altitude sensor and egr gave more power and mpg??? Hope this helps good luck, been a while since read that

Have you tallied to a Detroit Dealer about this? They would be the most qualified, knowledgeable and reliable source on a fix. A truck dealership or independent mechanic wouldn't even come close.

I don't know about a dealer, who would put in low nox codes & try to bring everything back to factory spec's. these newer engines need older know how, like Haney & Rebel.

Been to the dealer and they are charging arm and a leg on a labour to install the #### sensor then they willbe able to figure out why truck is loosing power. My mechanic gave up he said he can't do it. Why would fleets remove the sensor any ways its beyond me.

Detroit dealer or Freightliner dealer? I don't trust anybody with an engine these days except the engine dealer. One reason I don't own a Volvo.

Fleets did it because that was the Detroit fix for failing Delta-P sensors. If it was bypassed with the Detroit kit, then the software was also upgraded and no longer uses the Delta-P. These bypass kits were right from Detroit. I'd get in touch with Detroit before I let them re-install it.

Here's some more info with pics of the Detroit bypass:

Is this what your truck has? If so, it was probably done by Detroit under warranty, so I don't understand why they'd charge you to undo it, or why they'd have to undo it to begin with. Maybe I'm out of touch since I've been away from Detroit's for a while, but I've heard nothing on re-installing bypassed Delta-P's.
