Whats the serial number first #,s 3 is all.
-
I don't know the serial number. It's a 1996 Freightliner.
-
a lot of money spent to still have the same problem.
-
If you dont know the serial # and arrangement # how will anyone know how to help you? Its on the cold side of the block, on the head, near the firewall. A brass tag permanently affixed, write it down and save it.
-
The serial # prefix would help, but I have a few other questions to. Does it have Jakes? Did you just decide it needed overhauled and oil pump or did a reputeable mechanic? Have you checked the oilpressure relief valve? Also a B is not a overhead cam eng has anyone checked cam bearings did they plastigage the rods and mains to measure for proper clearence which should be done anytime you are in a engine with oil pressure concerns. A 96 should have an E model I think which is overhead cam could be a whole other set of issues so really need serial # to be sure what we are dealing with

Happy 4th -
Its on the block
-
It most likely a 5EK 1993 through 1997 the longest production serial # of the E's
