The stack that sticks out of my muffler is ripping at the base, so im assuming I need a new muffler and stack...but freightliner wants $400 for muffler and over $300 to put it on.....so im scouring the internet looking for one.........so my question is are the engine specific? Do I have to buy one that's is made for my engine?
I have an 07 columbia
Are mufflers engine specific???

I just ordered a donaldson M100463 for my 07 Century. It was $95 from Ryder Fleet. I got a bunch of other things too so shipping was free.

I'm ordering the ones from Pittsburgh power. http://www.pittsburghpower.com/index.php?cPath=25&osCsid=c74a8892d20500199aef6e7f84375735
They have ones that fit most trucks and claim to give more power. Some are less then 200 -
This is supposed to be (at least according to searches on TTR) the same as the PP muffler without the PP name tag.
It is a standard 5" inlet/outlet round muffler. Walker Megaflow can be had the same way. Unfortunately, Ryder Fleet doesn't stock it that I could find and I settled for the Donaldson this time. -

If you care to provide for him. Do so. He's been on here a couple times, I have called him even. No, I am not going to search out his latest comments.
I don't care to deal with an arrogant person like that. Rebel127 and Mr Haney as well as a few others have done just as much for the industry as well.25(2)+2 Thanks this.
