I have a 2004 Freightliner Columbia w/an MBE 4000 motor. It is running like crap, almost like the turbo isn't kicking in. I think, but am not sure, that the fault indicates that there is a problem with Engine Speed Sensor # 2. Does anyone know where that speed sensor is located? Just replace it?

    Thanks

If I'm not mistaken the engine speed sensor is located on top of the transmission right before the yoke. I replaced mine when the check engine light came on the engine wouldn't rev past 1500 in all gears no speedometer or tach readings. Also if you are on the road and need it fixed, shut the truck off crawl under and unplug the sensor and plug it back in it should reset and the check engine light will go off. When you get to a shop or freightliner parts place replace sensor
