I'm in need of replacing the Injectors on my 8.3L ISC Cummins. I went to Cummins directly, and was quoted $189 + core ($200) each. Well, unfortunately I don't have $2400 to shell out today to pay for these things, so I went searching online. Now, I must be brain dead when it comes to searching online, because I'm having a hell of a time finding real injectors. I have a Cummins part number for my engine, but even so, I cannot find a cross reference number to a Bosch. Ebay and Amazon will bring up "genuine Cummins injectors", and for some reason they'll post a Bosch part number with it (fake?). If I was going to put non OEM injectors in my engine, I'd rather a name be associated with it, not a clone. Does anyone have any suggestions on places to look? Maybe its time to dump Google as my search engine.

Bosch is prob the supplier that Cummins gets the injectors from, And just adds there part # and put them in a Cummins box

Yup, alternators and starters are what I don't need. 2000 Freightliner FL70 isn't in the passenger car list, and the Cummins number (3944208 ) doesn't cross reference. Been there, tried that, still not getting anywhere. I was pretty sure I had tried the obvious, but maybe I missed something.

Why don't you pull the injectors first, that way there is no core charge? That's what I did. 190 per injector from Cummins sounds like a good price to me.

the reason you cant find them is they are a cummins only part. even though they are made by a different company they are cummins parts and the specs belong to cummins so finding a off brand is impossible and by some chance you find so online store claiming to have them at half price I would run. best bet is spend the money at cummins and keep that motor running.
