perhaps,
disconnect batteries.
wait a bit, then reconnect......?QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this. -
It sounds like a circuit in the dash gauge circuit has been burned out from the strike. You may want to get hold of a Freightliner dealer to get their take. Regardless, you'll need to get it fixed. A DOT inspection will shut you down if they see that your gauges aren't working.
Brianbullhaulerswife, QUALITYTRUCK and 379exhd Thank this. -
pull out dash look close at con. re instal
QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this. -
sounds like any unit on datalink got datalink chip (usually small SOI8 chip) is short with higfh voltage.
fitst of all hook up diagnostic computer and scan all units on J1587 (1708) and on J1939. Columbia dashboard use J708/1587 datalink, not 1939
Bad news if datalink chip is bad in Engine ECM, not so easy to take it apart, desolder.... if it dahsboard - look for electronoc shop- they may help, if in ABS unit - just cut ABS diagnostic datalink and use flash codes for ABS diagnostics -
BTW, try to separate ABS unit connector, may be datalink would work
QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this.
