Mechanic for what? You have Sherwood Freightliner. Penn Detroit is a little better for engine problems. Heavy Duty Parts is pretty good for driveline stuff. That's 45-min to an hour from me, so I don't know any mom & pop shops for basics.

I know of them, Sherwood is in Tunkhanock also. I am looking exactly for some smaller operation that the mechanic can get to know my truck and not a new hand every time I show up. I found one in Carbondale, Williams Diesel. I will try them next time. thanks.
    Where is Heavy Duty Parts?

HDP is on Race St in Scranton off the Dickson City exit on 81, they are mainly a drive line shop. We use them for drive shaft repairs, rears & transmissions. It's a chain, but the guys in the Scranton shop have been there a long time and have always treated us well.

If Bloomsburg is an option, I hear good things about MTR right off I80 on Route 11. That's about 40-45 min from Wilkes-barre through.
